First exposed to music through her mother’s love for oldies and musicals, Emmeline (b. 1995) decided to join the school choir at 9, spending the next 10 years singing chorally both locally and abroad. Upon entering LASALLE, her musical palette expanded to include rock, R&B, jazz and soul, which widened her vocal versatility greatly. She is now part of R&B bands “The Cosmic Owls” and “The Good Life”, and is also the Alto of a 5-piece a cappella group “Flatfive” - the acts with which she has performed with at venues like Esplanade and Universal Studios Singapore. While Emmeline is still on the journey of finding her artistic identity, she is certain on wanting to create art that is genuine, raw and emotional; the very essence of being human. She aims to expand the possibilities of modern music through electronics and the voice.
